Where Can I Stay?

A range of accommodation is available to suit various budgets. Hotels in Sydney include five-star hotels on beautiful Sydney Harbour. There are beachside hotels, spa retreats and resorts, and apartments and cottages. You can even enjoy camping on a harbour island.

Any overseas Mirror sailors bringing their own boats will be eligible for free accommodation for the duration of the Worlds and Pre-Worlds. This will be one of three following kinds which will be allocated depending on best fit and dates of entry:

1. Staying with other local sailing families (including the current World Champion!) in the spare rooms of their homes.

2. Camping on the spare lawn of family homes less than 200m from Woollahra Sailing Club. Tent and toilet facilities provided with the club being use for showers and cafes within 100m.

3. Dedicated team house in Bondi 3km from Woollahra Sailing Club, that will sleep 8-10 people. This option will probably be allocated to the largest overseas team.

Private Accommodation

A wide range of private accommodation is available through the Stayz website – some examples are provided below. These houses sleep about 8 people and work out at about AU$50 per head per night. Booking is within 12 months so it is unlikely that you can book anything until early 2018.

We are aiming to visit all suitable accommodation before the new year 2018 to check the quality – so please check back here soon. Airbnb is also an option although it tends to allow for shorter terms (less than a week) and is not readily available for larger groups and generally less reliable.

There are a few large houses available within walking distance of the club and a number of units.

4 Bedroom house in Beresford Road (about 10 mins walk to the club)

4 Bedroom House in O’Sullivan Road (about 2km to the club)
